This is a wonderfully educational book. It is a fast and interesting read for people of all ages who are fascinated by the big cats that we share our planet with. The gorgeous photographs are a bonus to a great book.
I love this book it has so much science in it but its not to long i would recommend this to anyone.i love this book!
I enjoyed this book thoroughly - it taught me so much about cats in general and the big cats specifically. It would also be enjoyable and age appropriate for my grandchildren to have me read to them ( which I intend to do next time they're over). The pictures and photographs are amazing. Hope that this is just the beginning of a series on animals from Jamie Green!
Despite the format -- many pages have little text and are dominated by a single photo -- this book actually contains a significant amount of material. Also, it is easy to read and should appeal to young people of almost any age. Yet it doesn't talk down to the reader, which makes it very useful for adults (like myself) with little background knowledge of the subject who appreciate the opportunity to learn about this subset of the animal kingdom.
I just finished reading this book and it is amazing! It refreshed my memory and I learned new things. I love the section about the big cats and emotions. It is warm and wonderful. Anyone who lives with animals know that they have feelings like sadness and love. Jamie Green is a wonderful writer with a sense of humor. This book is stuffed full of information but it is so well written that you don't even realize you are learning.
